Grooming is by appointment, so please call ahead rather than dropping in.
How do I get there and where do I park?
We're within walking distance of both Del Ray and Old Town Alexandria, with easy parking right outside the door and a Metro stop minutes away. If you're driving down Route 1, turn onto Hume Avenue and you'll find us on the corner — the building with the pet mural on the wall.
How do I book?
Request an appointment online, or call us during opening hours and we'll find a slot. New to us? Have your pet's rabies record handy — we verify it before the first groom.
Frequently asked questions
Do you require vaccinations?
- Yes. Every pet must have an up-to-date rabies vaccination, and we verify it before the groom. Puppies can be groomed two weeks after their second vaccination.
What is your cancellation policy?
- We ask for at least 48 hours notice. Cancelling 24 to 48 hours before your appointment incurs a $50 fee, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged the full price of the groom.
What happens if I arrive late?
- We hold your slot for 15 minutes. After that the appointment is subject to a $50 late fee or is treated as a no-show.
What payment methods do you accept?
- Cash, all major credit cards, and checks.
How often should my dog be groomed?
- We recommend a groom every four to eight weeks. The right interval depends on the coat: curly and double coats usually need the shorter end of that range.
What are your hours?
- We are open Monday – Saturday from 9:00 am, and Sunday from 10:00 am.
