Accessibility statement.

From Head to Tail Grooming Spa wants everyone to be able to look up our services, find us, and request an appointment. This page explains what we aim for, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

What we aim for

We build this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Those guidelines are the standard most people mean when they talk about an accessible website: usable with a keyboard alone, readable with a screen reader, legible at larger text sizes, and understandable without relying on color alone.

We have reviewed this site against those guidelines and we fix what we find, but we are not claiming full conformance and we have no accessibility certification. Reviewing and improving the site is ongoing work, not something we finished once.

What we know still needs work

These are the limitations we are aware of today:

  • We have not been able to test every page against every combination of browser, operating system, and assistive technology. Something may work in one setup and not in another, and we may not know about it until someone tells us.
  • We have not had this site audited by an independent third party. Everything on this page comes from our own review.

If you run into something that is not on this list, we would genuinely like to know.

You can always just call us

Nothing on this website is the only way to reach us. If any part of the site is difficult or impossible for you to use, call 571-312-7989 and we will book your appointment, answer questions about your pet's groom, arrange a gift card, or go through our policies with you over the phone. You will not get a lesser service, and there is no extra charge for asking that way. Leave a message if we are with a pet and we will call you back.

Report an Issue

Call 571-312-7989 or email headtotailspa@gmail.com. You can also write to us at 430 Hume Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301.

It helps if you can tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. Mention what you were using to browse if you know it, such as a particular screen reader or browser. We will get back to you, tell you what we can fix and when, and in the meantime help you do whatever you were trying to do.

Visiting the spa

This statement is about our website. If you have a question about getting into or around the spa itself at 430 Hume Avenue, please call us and ask before you come, so we can tell you exactly what to expect.
